Cookies for Returning Marines and Sailors

January 9, 2014

Harold L Gregory Memorial American Legion Post Auxiliary Unit 626

ALA Unit 626 and ALA Unit 297, partnered together and supplied 250 cookie and candy bags for a large group of Marines and Sailors returning from a 6-month deployment at the end of the week. Some of them will head directly to an empty barracks or hotel room... and some of them won't have any family to greet them. Monica Greene, the Family Readiness Director for the Marine Units on Base, asked our Units if we would like to help supply homemade baked goods for them to grab as the head out the door after their long flight.
